Selecting a location by tapping a zone on the map is faster than typing one in — and it also creates something a typed location can't: a visual record of exactly where the incident happened.
When a zone is selected, E-DOB automatically generates a snapshot of that part of the map and attaches it to the report. No extra step is needed — it happens as part of selecting the location.
The snapshot appears on both the incident card and the full report, which is particularly useful for anyone reviewing the incident who isn't familiar with the venue — a supervisor at head office, a client, or an investigator — since it shows the location at a glance rather than requiring them to interpret a place name.
