Trial and pricing
Sign up with an email address. No card required. You get the full platform for 14 days — every feature, unlimited users, unlimited incidents. Reminder emails go out 5 days and 1 day before it ends. If you don't subscribe, the account simply stops — you were never charged.
No. E-DOB is priced per company, not per seat. Invite the whole team — reporting works best when everyone can log.
Yearly costs the equivalent of ten monthly payments — you save two months. Everything else is identical. You can switch between them any time from your billing page.
Not at all. The platform is fully useful without it. AI unlocks Quick Report, Camera OCR, description rewriting, related incidents and daily summaries — add it if those features would help, remove it whenever you like.
Stripe retries automatically. If it still fails, a 3-day grace period applies with email warnings before any suspension. Once payment succeeds, the account reactivates automatically.
A three-step cancellation on your billing page — with email verification — ends renewals. You won't be charged again after the current period.
Getting E-DOB into your operation
Under an hour for a single site: upload a venue plan, draw zones, add your departments and locations, invite the team. Portfolio operations take longer to configure, but each new site follows the same pattern.
Most teams don't. The interface is designed to be figured out during a coffee break, and Quick Report needs nothing more than typing what happened. We can run a walkthrough if you'd like — but it's not required.
Yes — we can help with imports. Send us a sample of your existing records and we'll advise on the fastest route. There's a documented CSV import template for larger migrations.
Yes, each staff member gets an account so audit trails work properly. Accounts can be created individually, in bulk, or automatically via Microsoft Entra ID SSO.
No — E-DOB is built for static guarding, corporate sites, events, universities and any operation that keeps an occurrence book. Door supervision is one of many supported use cases.
Security, privacy and data
In UK and EU regions on AWS and Cloudflare infrastructure. UK data residency by default. Nothing leaves the region without your explicit consent.
No. Our security practices are informed by the ISO 27001:2022 framework and the UK's Cyber Essentials scheme, but we're not currently certified against either. Certification is on our roadmap and we're transparent with prospective customers about that. What you get today is a platform built with security discipline throughout — encryption, audit logging, 2FA for admins, private evidence storage.
Yes — TLS 1.2+ in transit, AES-256 for stored credentials and secrets, private encrypted storage for evidence files.
It isn't — by us. Card details go straight to Stripe via their Payment Element and never touch E-DOB's servers. We're in PCI DSS SAQ A scope, the lowest and safest tier for merchants.
Yes, DPA templates are available on request. Email security@e-dob.uk.
Only authenticated users, filtered by their user group's permissions — which control which departments, locations, incident types and features each group can access. Externally, only via password-protected share links you create and can revoke.
It's yours. Every incident exports to PDF; closed incidents can sync live to Google Sheets during your subscription. On offboarding we'll help with a full export, then delete your tenant per our data retention policy.
What the platform can and can't do
No — reporting needs a live connection so timestamps and evidence are genuine. Static assets are cached for speed, and the app shows a clear offline page when there's no signal rather than a broken screen.
No — it stores evidence alongside your incident records. Upload clips from your CCTV system to the relevant report and they're preserved with the incident, malware-scanned, encrypted, and playable in the browser.
Up to 1GB per file, resumable in 25MB chunks so bad venue wifi doesn't kill an upload.
Yes — every operation configures its own incident types, locations, patient types, departments, attending staff and checklist templates.
AI features use Google's Gemini models via secure API — the incident text is processed to generate outputs, but is not used to train public models. If you'd rather not use AI, leave the add-on off and no incident data goes to Google.
E-DOB is a Progressive Web App — install to iPhone or iPad from Safari in two taps, no app store required. Full-screen, with home-screen shortcuts to New Incident.
Compliance and Martyn's Law
No software makes anyone compliant on its own. What E-DOB gives you is exactly the record-keeping the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 expects to see — a documented, timestamped, tamper-evident incident history with an audit trail. That's the operational foundation you'll want in place well before enforcement begins.
The Act received Royal Assent in April 2025 with an implementation period before enforcement — currently expected around 2027. Preparing your record-keeping now is the low-cost, high-value move.
E-DOB is designed to align with UK GDPR — lawful basis is documented, data is minimised and encrypted, and access is controlled by role. Medical data is handled as Article 9 special category data with documented safeguards. Our Trust Centre sets out the specifics.

Support, updates and getting help
Existing customers get support via in-app help — signed-in accounts get priority responses from a real person on our team, usually within one working day and often much sooner.
Continuously. Because we host the platform, you always run the latest version — no upgrades to schedule, no downtime to plan.
For most teams, the platform doesn't need formal training. If your operation is larger or has specific needs, we're happy to run a walkthrough with your ops lead or admin.
You do. E-DOB is a data processor; you're the controller. This is documented in our DPA and Trust Centre.
