Finding and linking related incidents

Last updated: 11 August 2026.

Patterns matter in incident reporting — the same faulty door, the same individual, the same location causing repeat problems. E-DOB looks for that pattern automatically.

While you're creating or editing a report, a "related incidents" suggestion can appear, drawing on similar incidents from the past three months. Review the suggestion and confirm the link with one click if it's genuinely related — or dismiss it if it isn't.

Once linked, both incidents display a reference to each other, so anyone reviewing either report can see the wider pattern without searching for it manually.

If AI doesn't suggest a match you know exists, you can search for and link an incident yourself from the incident page — the suggestion is a shortcut, not the only way to connect related records.
